Life insurance needs calculator
This tool adds up your obligations, subtracts the coverage and savings you already hold, then shows the amount left to cover. It calculates no price: this is not a quote.
This tool does your own arithmetic, in your browser. It does not calculate a premium and it transmits nothing: no figure you enter here ever reaches us. The result is an estimate based on your numbers, not a quote. Learn more.
Every amount below is one you enter. The tool only adds and subtracts: it shows no premium, no rate and no insurance price, and it names no insurer.
The method used: the DIME framework. Four items to add up — Debt, Income (income to replace), Mortgage, Education — then you subtract what is already in place.
This structure follows the financial needs analysis (FNA). According to the Autorité des marchés financiers (2026), a financial security advisor must first analyze your needs before recommending a product; that analysis covers the contracts you already hold, your family obligations, your financial position and your income. Doing the exercise yourself does not replace that analysis — it lets you arrive prepared.

This result is an estimate produced from the amounts you entered yourself. It is not a quote, not a price, and not insurance or personal finance advice. SoumissionVie.ca is not an insurer, not a firm and not a broker. Nothing you enter in this tool is transmitted, recorded or stored: the entire calculation runs in your browser.
